Mulligan Technique

The Mulligan Technique is a form of manual therapy designed to help treat patients suffering from musculoskeletal issues.  These issues can include neck pain, back pain, and injuries to the upper or lower extremities. To allow patients to receive the full effects of this treatment, our physical therapist will incorporate strokes such as Natural Apophyseal Glides, Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glides, and Mobilization with Movement into the rehabilitation regimen.

During a session of manual therapy that involves the use of the mulligan technique, our physical therapists will administer the glides listed above in a plane that is either a parallel or perpendicular to your injury.  When the Mulligan Technique is done correctly, patients will feel immediate pain relief and increased range of motion at its conclusion.
