Mobilization Therapy

Mobilization therapy is a manual therapy technique that promotes movement within your joints and tissues.  During this form of treatment, our physical therapists will use their hands to perform measured movements of varying speed, force, and distance to pull or push joints or tissue into different positions.

There are many benefits that mobilization therapy will bring to our patients.  The movements our team administers to your body will help to loosen up the joints and tissues that are currently causing pain and discomfort, allowing you to find some semblance of relief.  Circulation to the affected area will also increase, promoting faster healing from within.

Mobilization therapy will help patients dealing with issues caused by a build-up of scar tissue as well.  Scar tissue is broken down through the use of the hands-on technique, leading to pain-free movements being restored.  If you’re dealing with scar tissue or any of the other problems listed below, mobilization therapy could be the answer:

  • Muscle spasms or tension.
  • Lower back pain.
  • Neck injuries.
  • Hip, knee, ankle, or foot issues.
  • Hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder problems.
