Compression Bandaging

Compression bandaging is commonly used when helping patients recover from injury.  Typically used for strains and sprains, compression bandaging is an effective way to both manage and bring down swelling and inflammation after an injury.  It can also be used to help stabilize an injured joint.

For compression bandaging to be the most effective, it should be paired with a regimen of rest, ice, and elevation.  If you need help remembering this regimen, we recommend you always think of the acronym R.I.C.E. after sustaining a minor injury.

When you’ve become injured, and are not sure what needs to be done to facilitate healing, our team of expert physical therapists will be there for you.  Sometimes, a treatment as simple as wrapping an injury with compression bandaging and letting it rest for a few days is all that is needed for you to make a full recovery. You can guarantee that when this is the case, we’ll make sure this bandaging is administered properly so you can get back to being pain-free.
