Zoe Zoe Fackelman, PT

ZOE FACKELMAN, PT received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982 in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. In 1987, she founded Lake Country Physical Therapy and Sportscare, PC to fulfill her goal of using a holistic approach to caring for her patients, who learn that treatment isn't isolated to just the injury or pain - but to the entire body. Zoe has successfully encouraged community members to take responsibility for their future health through self care education, including natural healing methods, nutrition and supplement information. Zoe is the president and sole owner of the corporation.

Zoe has extensive "hands on" - manual therapy skills to assist in pain management and restoration of alignment and motion. She is one of an elite few trained at the most advanced level with PRRT - pain reflex release techniques - a gentle hands on technique to help break the pain and muscle spasm cycle by quieting the nervous system.

Zoe has speciality training with sports, spine care, orthopedic conditions, TMJ dysfunction and men's and women's health issues such as urinary and bowel urgency, frequency and incontinence and pelvic pain, conditions such as pregnancy or menopause, problems associated with surgery or radiation treatment.

Zoe is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, National Association for Continence, International Pelvic Pain Society and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also a member of the Canandaigua Rotary Club, Professional Women of the Finger Lakes and the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce. Zoe enjoys gardening, traveling, spending time with her family and friends. Her personal wellness program includes golf, yoga, weight training, walking, snow and water skiing, hiking and biking.

Robert Robert C. Christakos, PT, DPT Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Robert Christakos joined the Lake Country Physical Therapy and Sportscare, P.C. team in 2011. He received his Master's degree in physical therapy from Loma Linda University in 2000 and later went on and completed his Doctorate in physical therapy. He has been practicing as a manual therapist in Southern California at outpatient orthopedic and sports clinics for the past 11 years. He has extensive experience working with high school and college athletes, including football, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field players.

Dr. Christakos has also done extensive work with our more mature population, concerning those with arthritis, total knee and hip replacements and vertigo.

Dr. Christakos is trained at the highest level in Pain Reflex Release Techniques (PRRT), Beyond Advanced, and is one of less than 100 worldwide trained at this level. He is also certified in The Graston Technique which is used for soft tissue and ligament injuries due to sports, weight lifting, repetitive motion and vehicle accidents. The technique helps restore normal tissue, muscle function, flexibility and strength. He also specializes in the treatment of the spine, extremities, and TMD / TMJ.

Robert is a firm believer in treating the whole person and getting his patient s to actively participate in enhancing their own wellbeing.

Robert is in awe over the beauty of the Finger Lakes and the laid back friendliness of Canandaigua and its surrounding communities. Robert is a member of the Canandaigua Rotary. He lives in South Bristol, NY and enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, skiing, boating and relaxing with friends and family.

Jamie Dineen Jamie Dineen, Practice Manager

Jamie attended Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ and relocated to the Finger Lakes Region six years ago with her husband. During that time, Jamie began working as a medical receptionist and quickly advanced to become a practice manager at another facility. In 2012, Jamie joined the staff at Lake Country Physical therapy to expand her skill set and put her experience to use. Jamie enjoys reading, hiking, biking and spending time with family and friends.

Stacy Allen Stacy Allen, Office Manager

Stacy graduated from Nazareth College in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She left retail management after 15 years in order to spend more time with her family. Stacy joined Lake Country Physical Therapy in 2010. Outside of work she enjoys golfing, gardening, boating and visiting the various antique shops around Canandaigua.
